MIDI Clock Sync

Contents > Basic Controls > Command Buttons > MIDI Clock Sync

Click on the Options button and enable Transmit MIDI Clock Sync (on/off) to make JUMP transmit start, stop, continue and clock commands to all open* MIDI ports. This allows any connected MIDI software and/or hardware to automatically start, stop and keep tempo with JUMP.

You will also need to configure the connected software and/or hardware to receive MIDI Clock Synchronisation.

The Sync Loop (On/Off) option determines whether connected MIDI software and/or hardware restarts when JUMP loops.

Also see the F5 keyboard shortcut.

* A MIDI port is opened only when there are note events ready for it, so if you just want to start/stop and sync the tempo of a MIDI device such as another sequencer, you may need to use a "dummy note" to force the port to open.
