Use these controls to define a step sequence of MIDI Control Changes.
Use the first control
to select which, if any, MIDI CC is to be sequenced when
the motif plays (--- indicates that no CC is selected). Click on the control to select
1 of 128 possible CCs from a popup menu. To turn off CC step sequencing select the
No CC option in the menu.
| Most synthesizer manuals have an appendix listing how CC messages are interpreted. If you are unsure then start by trying CC1 to control modulation, CC10 to control pan or CC11 to control expression. Avoid using those CCs marked with a "!" in the CC menu, unless you are sure they are required. |
Use the knobs to specify a CC value for each step of the motif.
Use the Menu button
to affect the whole row at once...
Reset Fill with 0 Fill with 64 Fill with middle value Fill with 127 Fill with maximum value Fill with Step 1 CC Value fill with CC value of first step Randomise fill with random values Random Gate fill with a random pattern of 0 and 127 values Rising fill with increasing values Falling fill with decreasing values Reverse reverse the order of the values Rotate Left rotate values 1 step to left (earlier in time) Rotate Right rotate values 1 step to right (later in time)
| Changing from sequencing one CC to sequencing another can leave the old CC with an unexpected value. It's easier to keep track if you only use one type of CC for all motifs that share the same track or MIDI channel. |
